Values and Ethos

Believing in Learning and Promoting Success

Vision Statement

Bullion Lane Primary School provides a safe, exciting and challenging learning environment where every child is encouraged to aim high, and be the best that they can possibly be.

The ethos and curriculum of Bullion Lane Primary School are driven by 4 golden threads that epitomise our school values and beliefs. These threads encourage our children to believe in themselves and to ‘reach for the stars.’

  • Respect
  • Tolerance
  • Empathy
  • Ambition

Aims

In partnership with parents, children and governors, our aims are to ensure those 4 key aspects of life permeate throughout school.

We aim to do this by:

  • Providing an environment where each child and member of staff feels happy, valued and supported.
  • Building relationships based on mutual respect
  • Ensuring diversity is celebrated and is an integral part of our school
  • Developing confident, independent learners.
  • Promoting challenge through high expectations of learning and behaviour in an environment where children are encouraged to believe in themselves.
  • Ensuring that learning can excite, inspire and capture children’s imagination.
  • Viewing our children as individuals and have a commitment to recognising and catering for their needs educationally, physically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally.
  • Ensuring that all our children leave the school with high aspirations and are prepared with the life-skills they need to meet future challenges and ambitions.
  • Ensuring all members of our school community are valued and recognised, through listening to views and opinions
