I hope you are enjoying your time at home with your families. I expect that that you have all settled into a routine where you do some learning, some exercise and of course some playing. I’m sure a lot of you will be spending quite a bit of time online whether it be doing school work, gaming or socialising with your friends. Make sure you stay extra safe if you are going online. The simple rule you must follow is only interact and communicate with people online who you really know in the real world. Please get tips with your parents/carers, from NSPCC, NetAware, UK Safer Internet Centre and Internet Matters.
Your teachers are all missing every one of you and would love to see some photos showing us what you have been doing, whether it’s learning, exercising or playing. Email your photos to bullionlane@durhamlearning.net and we will share them on the school Facebook page.
The Facebook page has lots of links to different websites with lots of things for you to do. Ask your parents to show you and also look out for messages from your teachers.
Try not to worry about what is happening in the world. You just need to follow the Government’s instructions and STAY HOME to STAY SAFE. Life is a bit different at the moment to what everybody is used to but you can use this opportunity to do things you might not normally do and to learn new things.
Some of you might be worried about missing school. You don’t need to be. When we open again, we will take it slowly, get back into school routines, spend lots of time with our friends, do lots of playing and we will all achieve what we would have achieved even if school didn’t shut. You will all have so many new skills too that you have learned by being at home.
Remember stay safe and hopefully I will see you all again very soon.
